GIYPsm
is an acronym for GreenIndustryYellowPages.comsm,
a web site owned by Green Industry Yellow Pages, Inc., a Maryland
corporation. We collect two types of information from our member:
information submitted to us in registering as a GIYP member
and information our Site gathers automatically.
Information
Submitted by Members
Our registration form requests both required and non-required information.
Initially, all members must execute GIYP's User Agreement.
In addition, a member must provide some basic information in registering
as a member: company name, contact person, business address, e-mail
address, phone number. There is non-required information on our
application form that a member may provide about its organization
to help us better serve them.

We Gather
Buyer's
Credit Card and Credit Information
All
buyer credit card data and other proprietary information (required
by vendor in order to establish credit terms if available) will
be transmitted to vendor offsite (1) by telephone, facsimile or
email or (2) by external links to a vendor's Web site if offered
by vendor on the GIYP Site. In both these circumstances,
the vendor and not GIYP is solely responsible for protecting
the privacy of this information.
GIO's
Usage Tracking and Cookies
When
a user performs a search, we record limited information on the search,
including the specific category, keyword, state/province and/or
zip code/mile radius. Information is collected, aggregated and used
internally exclusively for determining the volume traffic.
Such information helps us to evaluate the products and services
offered on the Site.
The
display ads on our Site may contain cookies that collect non-confidential
information for the benefit of our advertisers.
Use
of Information Collected
Member
data collected by GIYP will be used to evaluate product demand
and supply, for marketing and promotional purposes, for product
development, for evaluation and improvement to Site content, design,
and layout, and to inform members of new products and services.
GIYP
will not post collected data nor share, sell, or otherwise disclose
data to third parties without the prior consent of the member, with
the following exceptions: (1) our list of member vendors will be
available to all members and may be disclosed for promotional purposes;
(2) internal data will be shared with GIYP's consultants
and agents, on a confidential basis, for purposes described hereinabove;
(3) advertisers will be notified, electronically, when members view
or click on their advertisements; and (4) information may be disclosed,
in the aggregate, for marketing and promotional purposes.
Choice/Opt-Out
Options
GIYP
e-mails its members promotional information or marketing offers.
Any e-mail we send will include instructions on how to be removed
from the list.
Security
Our
Site has industry standard security measures in place to protect
the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.
While there is no such thing as "perfect security" on the Internet,
we will take all reasonable steps to insure the safety of a member's
proprietary information. Please refer to the Security
Statement for further details on GIYP security.

Our
Site contains links to other Web sites. GIYP is not responsible
for the privacy practices of such Web sites and the information
they may gather expressly or automatically.
GIYP's
Right to Change Privacy Policy
GIYP
reserves the right to change this privacy policy at any time by
notifying members of the existence and location of the new or revised
privacy policy.
